Friends of False Cape State Park

Who are the Friends

The Friends of False Cape State Park (FOFCSP) are a group of park supporters who assist the park in achieving its goals of serving visitors and protecting park resources.

FOFCSP volunteers and membership dues provide additional support for park programs and visitor experience enhancements.

The Friends are people with many interests and backgrounds. They seek to support all of the unique and interesting park educational programs and recreational opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Help maintain the park, a natural haven in a rapidly developing urban area

• Help park staff with interpretive programs, kayaking, trips, hikes, bicycle rides, night programs and other interesting activities.

• Assist park staff in the visitor center and with contact station activities.

• Assist in communicating park needs to the public and to government officials
